in response to reader comment: two faces of the Islamist

Asalaamu alaykum to all the mumi'neen,

What the heck are you going on about? By practising my religion, I am branded a 'traitor.' I have branded the 'West' in a negative light only when people put my religion in a negative light - freedom of speech, one the qualities which people promote in a democratic country. When Muslims speak their mind - 'westerners' don't like it, but when they speak their mind - they say its rational - that is arrogance. The Qur'an says that if a Muslim abandons Islam or his Muslim brother or sisters - then he is branded a 'traitor.'

How am I defending 'Radical Islamism.' I am defending my faith from the likes of people like you. Radical Islamism another word invented by the so-called 'free-thinkers' of western society. Have you ever been a Muslim - that you can say it is radical. It's your point of view and your entitled to it, but before you say it is radical - read the Qur'an yourself (first-hand).

The Imperialist powers are responsible for the 'murder and strife' in Lebanon and Iraq. You perception are fuelled on the propoganda that the media feeds. Go to Iraq and Lebanon and ask the people who are responsible for the 'backlash.' They will tell you; that this never happenned before international intervention and that their so called 'liberators' are the problem. The imperialist powers are in league with the terrorist for greedy reasons (money, power and influence) - they wish to declare war with Iran because of it's large fuel reserves - I wonder why they won't declare war on North Korea who have actually test fired missiles? ....

Many moderate Muslims around the world are trying 'social reconstruction' (as you call it) however, are efforts are wasted on people like you. Islam has a fixed perception by the international community already - how can we change that when people have a fixed perception and hatred for Muslims.

I believe in 'What have you done for today and tomorrow that history will record as beneficial to world peace and advancement.'

I haven't put the dogs chokechain around my neck, you have managed it all by yourself. I think Muslims are quite content just living, enjoying and loving life - we're not concerned about becoming world leaders and having overriding ambition.

No, sadly many Muslims will die as a result of non-Muslims as is happening in Gaza and Iraq. The democratic states will be responsible for the destruction of the world with climate change.

Like you said 'What have you done for today and tomorrow that history will record as beneficial to world peace and advancement.'

You are entitled to your beliefs as I am to mine, I believe Islam will remain.
