Harrak, you overlook historical fact when you gush forth praise for all the "medical discoveries" of Muslims.

Long before Muslims had any knowledge of medicine, the Indians had already developed Ayurveda, the most complex system of medicine ever devised by man. It was thousands of years old when the Muslim barbarians ransacked India and took over. They essentially stole and bastardized Ayurvedic medicine and incorporated similar Greek concepts and formed it into a Muslim form of medicine called unnani. However, all of that was nothing more than a watered-down derivative of Indian Ayurvedic medicine, and not nearly as effective since the Muslims did not have a full understanding of the original system they were deriving it from.

As is usually the case, Muslims claims of greatness need to be tempered with the significantly less glamorous reality of the matter.
