in response to reader comment: NOAH WILK - MISGUIDED INDIVIDUAL

In response to my statement pointing out that over 90% of all conflicts currently happening feature Islam as part of the equation, Asim wrote:

"Noah prehaps you forgot to mention the greatest disasters to befall mankind in the last century - the 2 World Wars. May I remind you of the consequesnce of this Christian v Christian folly, yes 80 million dead, mostly civilians."

Why is it that all the pro-Islam people who post here get their facts totally WRONG? Where do I even begin to correct you on your quote? There are so many false statements there.

Let's start with the numbers. The generally accepted number (by experts) for WWII is 50 million and for WWI the number is 15 million. Those are combined military and civilian. Your claim is at least 15 million above the most accurate assessments by the experts on the subject.

Next, you call those wars "Christian wars", which makes no sense because they had nothing to do with Christianity. WWII for example was completely fueled by a secular ideology called Nazism, along with Japanese imperialism. It was not a "holy war", nor was it a "Christian war". It was a war between secular ideologies of Nazism, Imperialism, and Democracy.

Next, you list:

"Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Grenada, Cambodia, Congo, need I go on?"

Again, you are talking about wars between secular ideologies, mainly Communism vs. Democracy, not religious wars. The Crusades were religious wars. The wars you mention are not by any stretch of the imagination.

You claim:

"Its is clear what religion has been causing most death and suffering in the world recently."

We can agree that it is indeed clear which is causing the most deaths, however, you deny reality if you believe it is not Islam. Show me where, anywhere in the world, there is a war being conducted by Christians, fueled by religious motivation, where Christians are committing genocide. I'll save you the trouble...it's not happening. Islam is the great evil in the world today, and all one need do to verify that is to look at the various conflicts going on around the world and see the underlying common factor...Islam.

Now, before you bother to come up with an actual correct statement, let me provide one for you. Yes, Christianity has been responsible for millions and millions of native deaths in earlier centuries. I am above all a realist, not a religious person per se. However, that is exactly my point. Christianity matured, it became civilized, it stopped killing hundreds of years ago. The one religion that still practices barbarity and that has not kept in step with the times is Islam.

However, I must throw this question back at you...

What is your point?

What does WWII, Viet Nam, or Cambodia have to do with the fact that Islam is at the root of almost every war happening today, every genocide, every terrorist act? Are you attempting to say that it is morally acceptable for Islam to commit these current atrocities simply because atrocities were committed by others in the past? That makes no sense at all, from any sane viewpoint. Are you saying that this is some sort of "payback" to Western societies for sins of the past? Careful! That's called "karma" and I don't think your religion is too keen on the Hindus either!

Finally, you threw this at me:

"Educate yourself"

You might want to take your own advice, as you are the one using wildly exaggerated numbers as well as faulty and morally unacceptable arguments to defend Islam and defame Christianity. I thought one of the other pro-Islam people posting here claimed that Islam endorses learning and education. If that's so, why are all of you so wrong about so many things, as I have clearly proven?
