this book and its bias American centric view is a load of rubbish Europe and canada weak and unable to defend itself and the USA comes to the resue again nonsense.
Pearl Harbour ( or USA caught with its pants down)
Battle of Britain ( no help their then and we were so weak we actually gave Hitler his first taste of defeat)
betrayal of Churchill by FDR to Makenzie King ( Canadian PM) before the destruction of the French fleet by Churchill in which he tried to write off Britain to the Germans rather than give Britain a few lousy old WW1 Battle ships.
Abismal performance of the American Military in the Battle of mesiline pass North Africa when a whole US regiment was virtaully wiped out by Rommel leading a German Army just defeated by British General Montgomery and being chased by same across the western desert.
Russians trash Germans at Starlingrad and Kursk ( no help from yankees there)
The Americans stayed in Europe because they wanted to create new markets after the war for themselves by investment via the marshel plan

The Book is just the same old Hollywood bull and so are the comments in the article , designed to make americans feel good about themselves and dum down europe to make us eternallly grateful to them for assistance in WW2 which without Britain standing firm , on its own for two years and turning the tide against Hitler they would of had nowhere to conduct an invasion of main land europe
