Europe, the world's next powerhouse

While I've read with respect many of Mark Steyn's articles, I completely disagree with his prediction that Europe is finished. As the USA dollar falls and their power diminishes due to their involvement in Iraq; Germany and Europe will see the need and opportunity for establishing their own security in a very troubled world. In fact; it would not be unreasonable to predict that Europe will become the next powerhouse, replacing the USA. And the consequences of that may be rather negative.
