Hi Daniel: Thanks for sharing your Iranian friends' story about living under the mullahcracy in Iran. They condemned the Shah and went back to Iran after Khomenie took over shows to me, "you can take a Muslim out of a Islamic country but you can't take Islam out of a Muslim". That is why they hated Shah Pahalvi's rule(very unislamic) and went went backas soon as an Islamic rule was established.

Even though one of your friend is back in USA "disillusioned", may be, but I am not sure if she will denounce Islamic fundamentalism emnating from Quran. I think that these imamullahs in Iran do have the support of common people who definitely want an Islamic and not a democratic Iran.

If the people wanted a democracy they would have long overthrown these mullahs instead of living in terror under them.
