Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law
in response to reader comment: ten commandments ?

You have hit the nail squarely on the head sir, and a fine blow you have dealt.

The American constitution guarentees freedom of religion. It directly implies freedom from persecution in the name of religion, any religion.

In this matter I see little difference between Christianity and Islam. Both seek world domination and seem to have little care about exactly how they might achieve this objective. Both proclaim themselves to be the only "TRUE" way. Both have a prophet or chosen messenger of the G-D who they calim to be the only true prophet . And "BOTH" have bloodied our history with their determination to subdue all others.

I for one will not submit to either of them and neither should any other man. A mans religious beliefs are a private matter between that man and what ever DEITY he percieves to be his own. It is not my business to tell any man how or what he should believe. My only legitimate concern is for my own beliefs and actions in this life.
