Slaves! Maybe My Ancestors Were More Humble (Response to Dennis)Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law Submitted by Cher (United States), Feb 24, 2008 at 02:27 Dennis...first of all, I am more Cherokee /Irish.! My ancestors had servants...they were not abused. They were well taken care of. Of course my ancestors did not live in Alabama... but in Virginia..so just maybe my ancestors had more "humble ways". You cannot judge other's by a "bad apple" in Alabama at that time. Not all Slaves as you call them were mistreated. Shame on you for blaming eveybody for what somebody did there! By the way...my ancestors (humble ones) provided servants children with schooling. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
