Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law

< May I remind you that all the Abrahamic religions share these most barbaric aspects in the most conservative and fundamentalist reading?>

In my opinion , all religions born in and around the despotic and obscurantist "Holy Land" belong to abject barbarity. Yet, they were tamed and ennobled by Hellenism, Enlightenment and Rationalism. Islam has never knwon those things. And it will be never radically changed by external forces as it is immune to them while its internal development is pre-programmed by the Quran, the monstrous example of the "prophet" and 1400 years of barren Islamic theology. It's always the recurrent "come back to the Golden Age of the prophet".

So what will happen during the encounter between shari'a and legal systems moulded by Rationalism is that the latter will be constantly questioned, circumvented and finally cancelled and replaced by the primordial barbarity Islam is all about which will be praised by the old and new dhimmis as the supreme achievement of (Islamic) mankind.

When confronted with a man-made law on the one hand and allegedly Allah-made law on the other , no Moslem will acknowledge the former. And it is suicidal for a kafir to agree with a Moslem on that principal matter and to voluntarily submit himself to that primitive heidious code. Better death than dhimmitude!

History is full of examples where more primitive cultures have imposed their barbarity upon a higher culture. As far as I can see , for the time being nothing indicates that the West will escape that fate.
