Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law

Submitted by Donald W. Bales (United States), Feb 12, 2008 at 17:07

It seems that the UK has decided "to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" rather than rising against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

National suicide is a way out and it only has to be done once. Perhaps a rapid death is better than a slow one.
I regret that the Europe and the England that we have known in the past are on their way into the dustbin of history.
The United States is heading in the same direction, but may last the rest of my lifetime. Too bad about those who follow including my children and grandchildren.

Where is a Winston Churchill for our time? We seem to have an abundance of Neville Chamberlains.
