Scripturally Disconnected Thinking in Anglican Theological Community - Sign of the Times

Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Feb 12, 2008 at 16:48

As the world swirls into a pattern of disassociative thinking regarding what the west should do about the resurgence of Islam as a world dominate religion, it is little to be amazed about and one should not be so shocked to hear that an Anglican cleric would utter categorically anti-Christian rhetoric. For that matter one should not wonder when sound Biblical truths are dismissed by mainstream religious thinking and we find ourselves being told again that truth may find itself compromised in order to be compatible with contradictory ideologies, such as how Islam presents itself to the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

Actually, there is some Biblical evidence that Shari'a law may be the counter-Christian belief system in place that challenges the faux-Christian beliefs mentioned in several eschatological passages of the Holy Bible. It therefore makes some sense that without true influences of the Holy Spirit as strength in belief of Jesus Christ as LORD, that conceding to the uprising of Islam may in fact make sense to any who do not follow Christ Jesus to the letter of the Scripture in their heart.

The United Kingdom gave us the King James Bible and by its use the Gospel was spread around the world and salvation resulted for many millions. Therefore the question is posed, will the Authorized version of the Quran be published from the UK as well?
