Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law
in response to reader comment: The real reason to fear

The allusion that Islam could conceivably conquer the modern world with its anachronistic approach to govern societies, both Islamic and dhimmi in status, is easily made when one looks at the willingness to accede to parts or all of shari'a law in several of Europe' societies. The United Kingdom is not alone in its apparent struggle to maintain a Western identity as Islam casts its shadow on even the most mundane of activities covered under civil law.

Does the West seek/need a Defender of the Faith to stand in the gap against such as thing as the loss of the Christian ethic in a faithless society? Maybe not in a religious sense. But in a sense that the secular sector does not know how to defend against a religious ideology that appears stronger than the resident Western Christian ethic, there may be a willingness to seek out and appoint/elect an individual to counter the overwhelming surge to accept Islam as a dominant resident religious force.

Funny, that very thing of a supreme leader is found in the Holy Scriptures, something the secular sector has tried so hard to eliminate from society's ruling structure, and yet it will seem to become their only out in the absense of the faith necessary to truly counter the onslaught of Islam. There is only One to trust, and His authority to rule already established through the Word of the LORD.
