An uneasy feeling

Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law

Submitted by Steve Merkel (United States), Feb 15, 2008 at 20:57

In a nation becoming more and more secular, first they rotated prison toilets so that prisoners didn't face Mecca when they -- you know. Then it was Islam terror denial. Then orienting gravesites toward Mecca. Now more Islam appeasement: Polygamy. Does the government think Islamic demands won't escalate?

I get a queasy feeling when I see a once great nation committing suicide. The fall of the UK and Western Europe will put great pressure on the United States as our former allies become our enemies. Will we see a mass exodus of panicky Europeans?
