Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law
in response to reader comment: In Answer To David B Lincoln-- You're all off on the wrong point

Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Feb 18, 2008 at 18:29

Seamus: First of all, my middle name is the first name of Great Britain's Prime Minister during the Second World War, so I would appreciate you getting my middle initial right. Second, sacrifice is one of the aspects of faith. The Marauders insist that the sacrifice has to be the blood of those who simply got in their way, or those who disagree with them.

Third, your condescending tone which marks, "When will it dawn on all of you that this problem has absolutely nothing to do with a persons religion?" takes a lot of chutzpah because you are exhibiting what you find egregious in others.

Fourth, why don't you see what good is actually done by people who are working to make more room for the eternal in their life. Do you actually give credit to the good done by others. Also, you did not bother to answer my question: were Emile Zola and Georges Clemenceau Jews when they championed Alfred Dreyfus, when he was put through injustice by the French military and French government?
