Reader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law

Submitted by rodney allsworth (Australia), Apr 5, 2008 at 03:12

I have never been quite able to get the reason for undiscriptive language used by politicians to not describe the truth of a matter, to not use the same terms as the terrorists use is blatantly lying, the terrorists call themselves the defenders of islam, full stop, to pussyfoot around is just nonsense, the IRA WAS ALWAYS CALLED TERRORISTS, so what happened ,the sky didnt fall in, the catholic church did not collapse, we knew exactly who we were talking about.

I think the terrorists know better than the western world how to use our laws against us than we care to admit to, particulalry when we bow so quickly to the sensitivities of the muslim community who of themselves maintain a low profile on terror activities, rather than taking offence at the western worlds comments on terrorists, if we heard much more from the immans and muslim authorities concerning the acts of barbarism carried out in the name of islam, then we would have a distinction from muslims themselves and we would really know exactly who stood for what in the islamic world.

at this point in time one wonders where we stand at times when all the talking seems to be done by westerners, and by the way if a god needs to be defended then he/she is not god at all. and that applies to al concepts of [WHO GOD IS] .
