Obama may not be a practicing Muslim, however, he has a Muslim middle name. In Muslim countries, this is enough to assume that he did practice at one point. Also, since he does not practice now, he would be hated by those in Muslim countries, to the point that he would be executed if he lived in one.

This means that if he becomes president, it will kill our chances of having good relations with Muslim countries and make the war in Iraq even longer. His religion matters because it affects our international relations.
