Understanding of American Politics Necessarily Requires Understanding of the People Who formed the American Government

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama's Muslim Childhood
in response to reader comment: Why this Propaganda?

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jul 14, 2008 at 19:43

The world was a different place when the Declaration of Independence and the UnitedStates Constitution were written and implemented. And, in being different from the lands now known as India, the influences of the British Empire were just as oppressive to the people in America at that time, especially in the religious aspect. The specific influences of acknowledging Almighty God of the Holy Bible were important enough to be recognized by all concerned, that many in their personal correspondences said that the American Government will rise or fall on the perceived obedience to and the acknowledgement of Almighty God as the country's founding Spirit.

This is as true today as ever, even more so as the country struggles through its moral crisis. If Barack Obama, or any who would accept the challenge to be president does not adhere to this precept, than America would be like any other country, prepared for failure like any who do not recognize the Eternal Sovereign.

Islam does not follow the thinking of the original founding agents of this country in its governance, thereby casting its fate to failure. It is in Mr. Obama's own writings we read that if the winds move in the direction of the tenets of Islam, then so will he. It is his own words that lend the suspicion to his motives and his own propaganda; none other need be considered.
