Why care about Religion?

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama's Muslim Childhood

Submitted by Momo (Mauritius), Jun 4, 2008 at 16:44

Nowadays, people are barricading the culture by using religion at work and everyday life for sarcastic and fanaticism reasons. I believe that USA needs a social reformer rather than a Christian or a Muslim. This is what people do not understand. The country needs someone to bring about a new curve in their lives. It's time to breath a new air. What if he's a Muslim, does it mean that he is incompetent??? Where has it been written??

I believe that such discussions should never take place since it creates rift and might be a probable cause of torture!!

Whether he is a Muslim or Christian, he needs to take the job of a good President...this is what matters!!
