Time to Re-read Dr. Pipes Article, "American Intifada"

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama's Muslim Childhood

Submitted by Sofa Sogood (United States), May 18, 2008 at 19:23

Ever since I read Dr. Pipes article, "American Intifada," of June 19, 2007, while hoping its prophesy was exaggerated, its taking for granted that the President would be Obama, even way before the current primary run-off, gave me a very queasy, almost eerie feeling.

Not always, but too often, Americans vote for a President based on the "personality" who makes them "feel" better, while giving actual issues second place in importance.

Maybe it's a good time to read it again.
