"my argument is that people fundamentally misunderstand the problem and exacerbate the problem by attacking Islam" Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

No, I don't think there is a misunderstanding.

Muslim Brotherhood began around 1920. Long before 9/11, in 1974, former Algerian President Houari Boumedienne warned Europe in a speech at the UN "One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory."

"Soon we will take power in this country. Those who criticize us now, will regret it. They will have to serve us. Prepare, for the hour is near."

Perhaps, some Muslims find our understanding the problem.

"if we as an American culture are going to stigmatise Islam - then we are in for an unnecessarily protracted struggle with an entire civilization" Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

Radical (Fundamental, Militant, Extremist, Political) Islam has stigmatised itself.

"if on the other hand we are opposed to terrorism we are then able to focus our attention on the real enemies of both cultures" Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

What are the "enemies" of both "cultures". I think of Canada as a society with moral and values based on a framework of compassion and justice. Those who do not accept our society and want to introduce their own laws, are those who I appose.

"root cause of the hostility of many in the Middle East" Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

What was the "root cause" of the Muslim Medical Doctors who bombed the Glasgow airport? The "root cause" of the hostility [intolerance] all over the world, is based on the same Ideology.

"The problem is to get sTs and those he is in conversation with to quit discussing religion." Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

"Outside of attaching a pejorative against the person [Obama, who lied about his religion] it serves no real purpose" Submitted by K.H. Ahmed

I am very interested in the words of politicians which are not truthful. I am also very concerned about anyone who would lie about being born a Muslim.
