Moshe, I generally enjoy reading your comments, however in this case I feel compelled to correct some of your assumptions.

Part of your statement is, "Islam is stagnating more or less on the same spot where it used to be a 1000 years ago". While that statement is correct in many attributes of Islam, you have overlooked others where Islam has progressed almost as rapidly as the nations of Europe and the West. Please note that Muslims no longer use clubs, swords, spears and arrows in their unprovoked war against the Jews.

Haven't you noticed that they are now able to fly planes into buildings, blow up high rise buildings with bombs, damage large ships with speed boats, fire rockets indiscriminately at the peaceful nation of Israel, attach bombs to their bodies and kill children, mothers and fathers. When Israel abandoned Gaza to the Muslims, the Muslims moved in and immediately commenced firing rockets at the Jews.

And are you not impressed with the weapons that Hezbollah has been using against Israel? They are weapons of today and certainly not those of 1000 years ago. So yes, when it comes to the general attributes of a progressing civilization, they may well be stagnating. But when it comes to killing Jews, why they are as modern as you can get.
