FACT: ISLAM DENOTES PEACE!!!

in response to reader comment: For Azmat Zuberi (Rabina Yu3azim Alihu) and chutzpah!

i am utterly dismayed by the responses of dhimmi no more. he has relied on his rhetoric of hate instead of going to the sources to discover the concept of root meanings. moreover, i find it perplexing that he accused me of being non-arab while he himself is not of arab origin. what can i say?

for the record i will reference a source that makes it clear to my original fact that Islam does denote peace.

ONE:

"Similarly, the word al-Islaam is a derivative of al-Istislaam which does not just mean surrender! It means submit, to be sincere, to find peace, and the like. It means all the above.

Ibn al-Manthoor explains this in Lisaan al- ‘Arab as follows…

As-salaam – al-istislaam, likewise, as-silmu and as-salmu: al-istislaam is the antonym of warfare." (if I could emphasize this more than just bolding I would!)"

source: Zaman, Shibli. [http://www.mereislam.info/acrobat/CLAIM_Islam-is-NOT-a-religion-of-peace.pdf]

TWO: i will repeat my argument for the existence of root meanings (i don't really know why i have to prove this because anyone with a stinch of Arabic knowledge knows it exists).

Quote:

"The basic meaning of the root is furnished by the consonants and is altered by changes in, or omission of, the vowels and by the addition of various affixes." - Columbia University Press, Encyclopedia - answers.com

and...

"...depending on the vowels, the Arabic consonantal root k-t-b can have different but semantically-related meanings. Thus, [katab] 'he wrote' and [kita:b] 'book' both come from the root k-t-b. In the analysis provided by nonconcatenative morphology, the consonantal root is assigned to one tier, and the vowel pattern to another." - Nonconcatenative Morphology, Encyclopedia of Wikipedia.

need i go into this further? i think not.

THREE: dhimmi no more you cannot come up with something good other than your inflamed hatred against Islam and Muslims. i just think that is sad and pathetic.

case is closed. if you would like to meet with me in person, i would be ready anyday, God willing, to disucss this further - providing it is a peaceful discussion deviod of any hatred that you have previously spewed.
