For Christians who have converted to Islam, it is easy to understand and think along your line. But truly the whole idea is quite the opposite in core Islamic countries. in such countries, a covertee is a second class Muslim. Try leading a prayer session and you will understand. Whatever relationship exists between the state and religion, the fundamental guide is the Book. what is the Quran saying about relationship with non Muslims?
