Thank your for your post, Gary, though your kind praise is sorely misplaced in my case. I'm sorry to say that I'm as confused as everybody else! Although I have to say that I feel that your 'summary' of my points is inaccurate at best!

My frustration is borne of the fact that there are whose who maintain that the UK is particularly 'anti-Semitic' but do so without providing any evidence to substantiate it. That's all I have asked for. For example, if somebody were to claim that the Tony Blair was once in the KKK it could well be true but I don't think it unreasonable to want a bit of evidence to support the claim rather than accept such a statement at face value - especially when my personal knowledge conflicts with it. If it is true then let's have some background info to support it. I don't believe that we are an anti-Semitic culture but if my belief is wrong then I would like to know of some examples of this - something which has been curiously lacking so far.

Of course there are hate groups everywhere. Literally everywhere. But specifically in the UK above everywhere else? My point is that if somebody is going to be so specific then they ought be able to back it up with a few substantiated facts. Otherwise it's a plain insult. The only other time that I have encountered such vague, insubstantiated rubbish in the past has been when I have crossed swords with a few of the more militant Islamicists that we have encountered on this board. You will forgive me for my conviction but I simply believe that we should be operating on a higher level than that and leave the unsubstantiated rubbish to the jihadis. The strength of my feeling on the subject ought to be an indication of some kind. Rather than make bland generic statements as the irrational jihadis tend to do. let's stick to facts and leave urban legend out of it. Otherwise one is simply doing their work for them..

As for the effect of these 'commentators' upon my sympathies I would respectfully suggest that you shouldn't take me so literally. If those particular sentiments were meant to be taken literally it would imply a respect for these cranks on my part that simply doesn't exist. I'm merely trying to illustrate a point that some 'friends' of a cause do it more damage than an 'enemy' ever could!

though i do not agree with the two posters you sighted, it certainly is easy for me to see how they reached their conclusion.

- Presumably this means that you can educate as me as to how UK is particularly anti-Semitic? I wouldn't dare claim that it is not the case. But unlike a jihadist I'm simply not inclined to take such comments at face value unless they can be substantiated. Especially not from anybody who beliefs that genocide can have 'mitigating circumstances'! If you can demonstrate that the UK is a more anti-Semitic environment that Europe or the US I'll be thankful for being 'set straight' on the matter. I've simply heard more of more anti-Jewish hate crime coming from France, for example, than the UK but if there is a media conspiracy to keep stories from closer to home quiet then I want to know about it!!
