..Moshe said in one of his previously posted Remix a phrase like :"Quebec is better" in comparing Canada to Arabic-Muslim countries..Now when Canada is mentioned, I feel the obligation to speak up. I woud like Moshe to correct that phrase with "Canada is better" as one may not compare a province within a federation to an independent country. Orelse what would someone feel if I say "Israel is better than Calcuta"..so be careful when you mention the best country in the world next time.

Back to that very first phrase Quebec is better, yes, it is better even than the USA, France, England, Japan and the rest of what have you..the reason being is that in Quebec which is a province in Canada, Jewish minorities have the right to have their own religious tribunals. There are religious tribunals in Canada for the Jewish community and now as we speak, there is case in the supreme court where a Jewish lady god married under the Jewish law and she is sewing her husband for not willing to divorce her for years. I am waiting to hear the result of this unprecedented clash between Canadian law and the law of a minority. So I can understand why you said Quebec is better..and may be you understand better now what you said..this the kind of accidents I like..

My question for Dr Pipes is:

Do you support having in a liberal democracy faith based tribunals like the Jewish and Catholic ones in Canada!

If Muslims decline the Penal law and claim the right to have their minority tribunal in a liberal democracy on the civil law level, (mainly family disputes, marriage and divorce and heritage) would it be a legitimate request!!

I am seeking your opinion in this matter..thank you kindly.
