For Azmat Zuberi (Rabina Yu3azim Alihu) and chutzpah!

Reader comment on item: Trouble in Londonistan
in response to reader comment: "Islam" Denotes "Peace" - Arabic 101

Then you wrote:

"Arabic is the most wise and complete language in terms of meanings and eloquence"

This must be the most absurd comment made by you. Any language is a great language including Urdu! In Urdu you will find the culture and the history of your ancestors that were brutalized by allah's religion. But again you are the victim of Arabian imperialism where you put Arabic and the religion of the Arabs ahead of your own ancestors and your own language and culture.

Then you wrote: "you may have been born an Arab"

No I was not bron an Arab. I'm a proud western kafir that happens to study the Arabic language and the religion of Islam!

Then you wrote: "sullamun (sic)" Do you really what is 'I3rab and when to use it?

Why do you mangle the Arabic language a language that you do not know? There is silm/sallaim. However, if you mean sallamon (salmon) it ani't salmon. You better stick to english or to Urdu.

Then I will skip the little lecture about denotation because you are really beyond help.

And let me repeat one more time: In semitic languages as in Syro-Aramaic and Arabic we have a _root_ and we have _stems_ and stems do not connect. Your above remark betrays your total ignorance about the genuis of semitic gammar. There is no relationship between a silm/sallam and peace or Islam for this matter. Get over it.

And do me a favor andf stop using ar-Raghib (and it is al-Raghib) Lane's whatever.

Then you wrote: "Seen lam mim" I see that you are discovering that your little bogus claim about" sa la ma is wrong, but you did not have the courage to admit that you were wrong. So much for honesty.

Then it gets better; "so not only i humbly propse that Islam salaam and sullamun (sic stop using 'I3rab here it is silim/sallalim) are all derived from SLM"

Ya ayuha al-faylasoof al-kabeer we already know that! But wait go and tell an Arab that Islam and silim/sallalim have anything in common. They will think that you are out of your mind!

Then you wrote: "with the root meaning of"

How many times do I have to tell you that an Arabic language root has no meaning??

Then you wrote: "peace"

which means: salam

then you wrote: "safety"

which means: Amaan. However if you mean salama you are correct but it comes from the same stem as salam but does not share the stems for islam/yaslam/islami or silim/salalim. So you did not prove anything here so far.

then you wrote: "security"

It means Aman. I do not see how Aman can have the same root as SLM.

Then you wrote: "I know this from stuyding the arabic language"

well let me tell you that your command of Arabic grammar, vocabulary, vocalization is poor.

Then you wrote: "with definite references to lughaat (dictionary/ lexicon"

This is nothing short of bogus. Lughaat means _languages_ and not dictionaries/lexicon as you claim.

So here is your home work: what is the arabic word for a dictionary/lexicon?

Let me help you: It is Qamoos and plural Qawamees and it is not Lughaat as you claim.

So much for Islamic education.
