experience, not theories

Reader comment on item: Counting Islamists
in response to reader comment: Yes we do need God. God is the reality.

Keith Williams writes:

".....Yes, we do need God. "

But Keith the thing is , we don't need Islam.

"That is the bottom line my friend. We can do nothing without God. God is the reality. With God anything is possible.

"Everything else is illusionary and fleeting. Even science can see that what we see is not real."

Yes, well string theory will tell you this too. And so will Buddhists. Science is not in disagreement with 'God' necessarily - but some believers in current-day science are in disagreement with other people's concept of 'God'. As we pare back the veils of creation through finer and more sensitive instrumentation, only the truly deluded believe in just what they see.

Many brilliant scientists are theists. String theory will tell you we live in a posited 22 dimensions in this universe and our universe is just one of a myriad of other universes (yes, universes, not just galaxies).
And this is what we have come up with in less than 100 years of delving into the nature of energy and matter.

In 2,000 years time - if we manage to progress without being thrust back into a garbled recreation of 7th century Arabia what will our technology show us then about the marvels of infinite universe we live in?

good article, but again, it will be insignificant in even 50 years time.

"....Do you notice the scientist gibberish? Science still has no clue does it??? They are spending all this money and will come up with no reality only a theory. "

Again Keith, how can we seek to discredit science while at the very same time t make use of all its advances without being total hypocrites?

The answer of reality will not be revealed until God reveals that knowledge to us."

But 'God' is also interacting with human consciousness. Why do you always position God outside humanity? 'God' didn't tell us how to make lasers or take advantage of electron holes in order to be able to make a computer chip run - so that Muslims around the world like yourself could take advantage of the Internet for example. 'God' isn't going to tell us how to teleport for example or present us with a vial of a magic anti-cancer elixir. We have to do that for ourselves won't we?

"Until then, we will always have theories. Science is nothing but theories. "

but theories work - that's why you are right now reading a computer screen because theories were able to be harnessed that made predictable the behaviour of electrons and phtons in the machine you are now using.

"While God is the ultimate reality. "

But Islam is not the ultimate revelation of truth - or anything remotely approaching it.

There are diversions along the Way . Islam is a broken bridge.

"...We have been trying to disprove God and for what?"

we can't disprove God
