Hi

I have also read the Bible and Qur'an. I have read the O.T. and I mean really read the whole O.T. then I saw that Qur'an was not as violent? After reading the Qur'an and I saw that the Qur'an is PG compared to rated R version in O.T. The N.T. is much better but also refers to the O.T. without the details and history. The history in the O.T. was very shocking to me after the first time that I sat down and read it for myself. I think people would to if they read it and not just take a verse from here and take a verse from there but read it from Genesis to the end. They will find a lot of death and destruction. It seem that the Prophets in the Bible who are the same in the Qur'an are spoken of as tyrants and such but not in the Qur'an. In the Qur'an it says that the followers of the Prophets were hard headed and arrogant and sought to kill or discredit the prophets. Then read N.T. more death and destruction then Revelations, more death and destruction until judgment day. If people would stop cherry picking the verses they will see that the Qur'an is not as violent as the Bible. Both are violent but we have to keep them both in context to see that the people in both books are the same peoples and went thru trials and tribulations and some incurred the wrath of God on themselves and received punishments and such and will continue until judgment. We see much peace, love, and hope in both the Qur'an and Bible and that is our goal to achieve paradise and we pray that God the most gracious and most merciful will grant us that for the striving to follow God and not the Satan the rejected one.

peace
