Hopefully, most Muslims do not read the Qu'ran regularly or in depth. If they did, there would be few "moderate" (i.e. non-violence-prone, tolerant) Muslims. Violent Christians exist, but they can find no justification for violence against non-Christians in the New Testament. A violent Muslim, on the other hand, can point to massive amounts of justifying incentives in the Qu'ran and the Hadith.
