in response to reader comment: Still thinking

Ever took a sociology class? The conflict perspective greatly disagrees with your FUNCTIONALIST perspective of Capitalism in society; really you are not a functionalist because you deny its very existence! You need to think a little more about our social programs. It wasn't until recently when elderly were being helped with social security. Most Americans still don't have health insurance. Who do you think you're talking too? We have no social services lobbyists! Where are the health insurance lobbyists? Hillary Clinton fought to socialize healthcare and it was fought tooth and nail by insurance companies and guess what… THEY WON. We could not socialize health care but we can socialize the banking system LOL. It's all about Capital! Over 37 million American are in poverty and another 60 million barely making it. You're not prepared for this argument. I will give you time to re-think your position and for GOD's sake look up the definition of Capitalism and then tell me if our society is one. If we cannot get past this usually, undeniable truth, I really have nothing more to say to you.

Oh, I grow weary of you always being the victim and it is always others who cause your misfortune. Such wealth in Muslim countries that could have been used for the good of mankind but instead even Muslims find better opportunity in the West which you hate so much.

What, you need nap? I didn't invite you to read or respond to me.

Do, I sound like a victim? Victims hide.

What misfortune? What are you talking about? You don't know me and how well life is going for me. All Praises to Allah; I'm Blessed.

So much wealth of the world that could have been used for greater uses. Our wealth has destroyed our environment and is the cause of global warming and you think that it could not have gone to better use? Our spending is destroying the WORLD'S economy. Don't think we could have used our money for better use. I guess better use is the billion dollars a week we are spending for the war in Iraq. Yes, WE, I am a taxpayer.
