Reader comment on item: Counting Islamists

It seems that the Obama campaign is up to its same old tricks. It has been reported that the Muslim Americans For Obama (MAFO) organization has been holding events at mosques (tax exempt as a church would be) to convince people to vote for Obama and register voters. I have not checked recently, but a few months ago there was a link on the Obama Campaign's web site to MAFO.

In a story written by Chad Groening available on the web site of OneNewsNow these mosques are in clear violation of the federal tax code by supporting a specific candidate in these events.

In deed, if these campaign events were being held for John McCain in a Christian church the news wires would be afire with the fierce attacks on the McCain campaign and the churches would all be stripped of their tax exempt status. Because the Muslim community plays the "oppression" card when they are called to account for their transgressions there has been no outcry by the media against this blatant act.

Perhaps what is more important to note here is that there is a Muslim group actively stumping for Obama. I do not recall hearing of any Muslim supporting McCain. Even leaders of Hamas in Israel have been quoted as stating that they hope Obama wins the election.

The fact that Obama's church of twenty years presented a lifetime achievement award to Louis Farrakahn for his work leading the Nation of Islam has gotten lost in the media. Since Obama resigned, under pressure, from his church home the media has stopped reporting about the teaching and rants from the pulpit by the pastor Jeremiah Wright. Obama's campaign is quick to balk any time Obama's former church affiliation is brought up, complaining that those are old issues and no longer relevant to the campaign. For one, I feel the reality that Obama was willing to sit in that church for twenty years, under Jeremiah Wright's ranting and while Farrakahn was being awarded a lifetime achievement award is absolutely pertinent to this election. Not only do these issues speak to Obama's lack of good judgement, he is obviously in agreement with the views expressed by his church home.

Are the attacks of September 11 such a distant memory that this nation has forgotten that we have an enemy that presents a clear and present danger? The enemy of America, the one we are at war with, is the Islamic Revolution. Jihad is being carried out on our soil, a creeping infiltration. Do not be fooled, this is a clash of civilizations. Now we even have a candidate for the presidency with Muslim ties.

America needs to wake up and realize the Islamic Revolution is already at their doorstep.
