Number of 'Islamists'

Reader comment on item: Counting Islamists

Submitted by Mordechai Ben-Menachem (Israel), Oct 8, 2008 at 02:40

Surveys in the Palestinian entity (aka PA) consistently show mor than 80 percent are in favour of annilhilation of all Jews in Israel. In the last survey published (the surveyers are Palestinians, not Israelis) 84% stated that they are prepared for any personal sacrifice in order to kill Jews. Both of these are 'reasonable' definitions of radical attitudes.

The number 10-15% is indeed problematical, but on the low side. It is absurdly low by any measure. It needs to be at least 30%.
