Hi btilly,

I am glad that you got Isaiah 40:22 correct. Congratulations. Now, let me help you with the rest. I think you have misquoted these other two Qur'an verses out of context. Let me help you.

you stated:

"Quran said the earth was flat as a carpet (Q15:19). The sun sets in mud (Q18:86) Now the Jews said the earth was round (Isa.40:22). We know the earth doesn't move, but the sun does! THE SUN REVOLVES AROUND THE EARTH. IF ALLAH IS GOD DID'T HE KNOW.(smile)"

Q15:19 does not say the earth was flat. It says that God created the Earth by spreading it out like a carpet and set mountains to act as weights to keep it steady. Surely you have seen how the earth's crust is layered out. Have you seen a cross section drawing of the earth's crust??? It looks like it is smoothed out and layered like a carpet huh??? Now, how would man know that back then? "Over time the Earth cools and separates into several different layers." http://www.platetectonics.com/book/page_1.asp

Now Q18:86 is about the two horned one. This is about Dhu al Qarnayn. We really don't know who Dhu al Qarnayn was. It is speculated that it is in reference to Alexander the Great which would mean that the sun set in a spring of murky water would be understood to be the Lychnitis (now Ochrida) because it is a dark and tempestous sea west of Macedonia. It is fed by underground springs in a limestone region, where the water is never very clear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhul-Qarnayn

Now btilly, I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here. I think you just made a typographical error or maybe just made a mistake. But I must ask you to clarify your last point. "We know the earth doesn't move, but the sun does! THE SUN REVOLVES AROUND THE EARTH. IF ALLAH IS GOD DID'T HE KNOW.(smile)"

Are you saying that the earth doesn't move but the sun does?? Are you saying the sun revolves around the earth??? What am I missing? Don't you mean to say that the earth as well as the other planets in our solar system move around the sun and the sun moves around the center of our galaxy carrying us and the other planets of our solar system along and that our galaxy is moving away from the center of our universe and expanding at a very fast speed??? Of course Allah knows. He created everything didn't he???

Q21:33 It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along each in its rounded course.

peace
