The correct meaning of the word DHHA (rasm) means he made it (f. case) flat any one who knows his even his modern Arabic would tell you that the word means he made it flat

Are you aware that the late Mufti of the Hijaz wrote a book called "Jarayan al-shams wa al-qamar wa sukun al-ard" where he really indicated that the Qur'an says as per Q79:29 that the earth is flat and this is from the source of the Arabic language the Hijaz that is.
