Hitler wasn't above the idea of confering temporary status of "honorary Aryan" on a group when this was valuable to him as cannon-fodder (they could do the fighting for him, cost the enemy--but NOT Germany).

Even the European (largely Kosovar and Bosnians--generally ethnic Slavs, a group Hitler hated) Muslims fell into such a classification.
