Notice, sTs,

THAT THOSE WHO WERE KILLED were NAMED. They were Midianites; and this was a SPECIFIC TIME IN HISTORY.

The Bible, always, was SPECIFIC about the circumstance.

In the verses you present, Moses was commanded by God to kill Midianites. Why? The Medianites were a bad influence on the Israelites. The Medianites worshiped Baal of Peor; this worship involved such wonderfull activity such as pedophilia, incest, beastiality, human and child sacrifice to that "god".

It was an evil, evil situation, so God Himself, as He did back then, commanded it to be wiped out. And Moses obeyed.

Any and every example of killing in the Bible is EXTREMELY detailed with regards to who, what, when, where, and why.

The Bible never commanded killing based purely on rejection of God.

It's a shame that the Qur'an is not so specific.

Or is it?
