Using the Bombing of Japan as an argument will work to you disadvantage.

Real quick … it was estimated that if the U.S was to continue its fight with Japan during WWII it would have been very fatal for the U.S. Two million American lives would have been wasted if the war to continue with Japan. The U.S needed to end it quickly and the only way was to have Japan surrender in which they refused. Even when the Emperor finally surrendered it took another fifty days for all the Japanese generals to surrender and you know how they finally gave in the Japanese that is? BY committing mass suicide...yes die rather than surrender and the U.S knew this. This is why they hit hard. Now you just got a quick history lesson on why we bombed Japan and guess what Japan is one of the U.S closest allies.
