Israel predicament at 60

Reader comment on item: Israel's Predicament at 60: World's worst neighbourhood

Submitted by joe (South Africa), Jun 8, 2008 at 10:37

60 years of war, terrorism , targeted- killing , nuclear threats , civil unrest and instability in a place where there is no petrol , diamonds , gold , emeralds , rubies , tanzanite , and other valued resources. Not even water. Is this Gods' promised land for the chosen people? While other 'inferior' people like the 'enemies of god' ( Arabs) have extensive land , resources and wealth, the chosen people are left with this miserable, arid land. Either Palestine is not the 'promised land' , or the people are not the 'chosen ones' . In both cases , the 'chosen ones' will have to leave the place.
