My Dear Sadhasiv,

Your country or if you are not an Indian, A Hindu and a Muslim or an Indian and a Pakistani have their own viewpoints of History. India has always outnumbered Pakistan. Even today India has 1.1 billion people whereas Pakistan is hovering around 160 million. So either pakistanis are foolhardy or very brave to take on and fight an enemy that is 7 times its size.

India has always believed it was a world power. Pakistan wanted to survive. We never accepted that Kashmir was an integral part of India and we dont accept that even today. India has similar problems with China over Ladakh and some other areas like Arunachal pradesh and either Bhutan or Sikkim. It shameful that you have accused Pakistan of bombing the Lok Sabha.

I suggest you read the book titled December 13. A book that was published in India and written by a Hindu. You'll see who is a liar and who is teling the truth. India never reconciled itself to the Partition it had dreams of avenging 1000 years of Muslim Rule.Don't forget, we moved out of Indian territories in 1965 and that included Munnabao. So big deal.

The Pakistani tragedy was it had no institutions, because it was created out of an area that was mostly West of the Indus and not developed under the British, and this area was historically never really a part of India because India ended at the Indus. Pakistan had one institution that worked and that was the army. Today we have progressed to a stage beyond that point hopefully. When you say we had politicians like Suhrawardy and Bhashani, it seems you are from the Bengal. Pakistan Resolution of March 23, 1940 never visualised Muslim Bengal as a part of Pakistan. The inclusion of Bengal in Pakistan happened in 1946. Read your history . We have nothing in common with Bengal other than Islam.besides India's involvement under Indira Gandhi to the Mukti Baini is well known.

Like the Arabs and the Jews, India and Pakistan have reached a stage where we have to make peace or perish. It is an imperative. I know what I am saying when I say that. So lets us try and develop a common history and move forward. and not try and become traditional enemies. Next time we wont talk we'll nuke and end the matter once and for all times. This means everyone loses and something we should not be working towards.Remember next time the battle for the defence of Pakistan will be on Indian soil. This is something the Musharraf the Mohajir said.

Leave yesterday behind if you can and move on because India has its own problems in the East with the Naxal movement that has been made worse with a Maoist victory in the Nepalese elections and we have America on our hands because of Afghanistan. America is a bigger enemy than India will ever be. India can never be a threat as big as America under George Walker Bush.
