in response to reader comment: Bangladesh actually is proof that Allah is NOT HaShem

I've known a family from Bangladesh for a number of years now. In no way is that grounds for an informed analysis of Bengalis, however some points you brought up describe them perfectly.

When I met them years ago, the wife was most often dressed in hijab, and the children were not allowed to play outside. The father would pray towards Mecca five times a day.

As the months and years went by, it was interesting to see the change. The children, girls included, greatly excelled in school. The wife began to wear jeans and got a part-time job in a local shop. The family's father and I would have hours of conversation, regarding politics, religion. I remember how he despised those who commited 9-11, and after one particularly nasty clash between Israel and Hamas, he showed up and stated, "I am a Protestant Muslim. I protest everything Muslim."

I gather they are still Muslim, albeit "moderate".

But they are still extremely devoted to Bangladesh. The father has requested of his children to go back and perform a part of their profesionnal carrer in Bangladesh.

"Old Nick" is NOT HaShem, as you state. That reveals, in my humble opinion, why he requires TOTAL submission by his "devotees". When he has that, he can opperate.
