Religion versus PolitcsReader comment on item: Israel's Predicament at 60: World's worst neighbourhood Submitted by Fred Inglis (Australia), May 28, 2008 at 18:06 Dear C.I. Thomas. You bring out the old argument that religion is the cause of all wars and other nasty things. Well, I can agree that certain religions do cause these things! But to claim that religion is the only culprit, is to ignore the activities of such Athiests as Adolf Hitler, Carl Marx, and others! Now you also ignore the efforts of such religious orientated non secular people as Jesus of Nazereth, and a mutitiude of others! In the bible there are accounts of much blood and horror, this is because the Bible in its historical record of man publishes the real truth about man and does not cover up the horrible miss deeds of it's favoured heros, although your article apears to cover up the missdeeds of your anti religiouse heros. The Bible puts the blame all people as being responsible for these misdeeds "From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not out of your lusts that war in your mind. " James chapter 4 . [look this rference up and read the whole context! In another place it declares "The heart of man is evil beyond all description" The Bible puts the blame on all men, theists and atheists. Fred.
