Israel - Center of World Controversy - Now and Always

Reader comment on item: Israel's Predicament at 60: World's worst neighbourhood

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), May 8, 2008 at 13:22

Israel is at the center of world controversy and general antipathy of most other nations for one central reason (in spite of the myriad reasons many could list), that she is the special people of the LORD Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, from whom was sent the Anointed One of Israel. At the center of Israel is Jerusalem, labeled Zion in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures.

The Hebrew Holy Scriptures hold little value to those who do not believe the Word contained therein, and if there is not belief, then it can be seen why no value is held. Nation states have come and gone, raised and razed in history as fortunes dictated, but only one has stood out as the most resilient of any national entity: the people known as the true children of Abraham.

To associate the cadre of other Middle Eastern tribal states facing a questionable future with Israel is to dismiss Israel's unique place in world events. Only when a true perspective is held of how Israel fits in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures does one gain an understanding of world events that make sense, and keeping Israel properly in the center of all things historically and prophetically is the best preparation for handling the world's future and the future of everyone in it.
