Historical correctionReader comment on item: Israel's Predicament at 60: World's worst neighbourhood Submitted by Devasahayam (United States), Jun 3, 2008 at 08:41 "Don't forget the orgins of blacks, Africa. Remember they African kings rounded up their people and sold them to the Brit's." To British not prior to 1591 (which was before first Europeans set foot in Sub-Saharan Africa; the date is the fall of Songhai Empire to Moroccan Army led by Spanish janissary Judar Pasha). Slave-trade existed during times of Ghana (750-1076) and Mali (1200-1400) and Songhai (1450-1591) Empires as well, between Africans, Tuareg, Berbers, Fulani and Arabs. Also noticeable that Muslims (in Sudan, mostly "Arabs" in Khartoum) still trade in African slaves (mostly from Christian-majority Southern Sudan, but some come from grossly-Muslim-majority Western Sudan near Chad border). Significant that this continued trade by Sudan is never mentioned by the Black Muslims (including loudmouth Farakhan) or their pretend-Christian supporters such as Oblahma's church!
