You're right, Devasahayam.

I've never heard a single "imaginative" explanation for "back-conversion".

They seem to out-right deny it's existence. I've heard Muslims come up with some lu-lus in support of "mass conversion" to Islam - like after 9-11 when the Qur'an was sold out in book shops. They claim it was because everyone was converting to Islam.

Truly delusional.

Cute anecdote about you when you were a kid; I'll ask you, as I find different explainations on the Web - what exactly is this "caste" system I keep reading about?
