You are absolutely right! Those advocating Democracy would find their tongues locked when the example of Algeria and similar to it are discussed.

Democracy in present form is religion allergic...and would not tolerate the influence of religion in any form.

We should be happy to see that the symptoms of debacle of this double faced democracy. Unfortunately in India or Pakistan democracy in present form is only the source of looting and making money and those in parliament are mostly looters, mafia leaders, land lords or smugglers etc. They have no agenda but to pull the money out of the pocket of common people.

Lets hope things go better some day..
