What Democracy??

Mr Pipes ... says Muslims must modernise and become an animal like society like the West were the Women are paraded like objects, morals and values have no place because if you show respect to someone else you are being intolerant.

My question to Mr Pipes, has your way of freedom of this and that actually worked. USA has the highest rate of incest and by large western societies although portrayed as ideal societes ahve sicknesses that fortunatly most of the muslim world are still ignorant of and hopefully weill remain unless they decide to modernise.

Murder, crime, rape, paedophiles etc in a sexually and violently charged soiciety is the very cornerstone of almost every western country be it America, Britain etc. So how can this be the soluton to the Muslim world when although I agree the leaders are corupt and please there corruption stems from there own weaknesses and faults and not from Islam.

If they rule according to the dictates of shariah there people would be content in fact it is the very reason the arab world is suffering today is that they are trying so hard to be liked by the West yet they fail to see that have given up the dignity and high ethics and morals to go down to a level and is not beffiting a muslim.

If proper Islamic shariah law is practiced it would surely be the answer for many of today's problems, for eg, Zakaat will help eradicate poverty, nationalising mineral and energy wealth will provide much needed income for countries to put that money back into schooling and health. But unfortunalty we have this tendency to focus on the negative and try to change soeone to suit your ways.

Turjey is the perfect example and Kamal Attaturk (the shame of Islam) who tried to change Islam to suit the West but look at Turkey today still trying to be part of the EU yet they know that as long as they are muslim the EU will never accdept and to think that if they stayed with Islam and Proper Shariah they would have been one of the most influential and powerful countries on the Earth Today but it is the very reason that they Put Kamal AtatSatan on a pedestal that they are were they are today.
