in response to reader comment: Muhammad democratic? Islam/submission democratic?

I do not know if you have read Islamic history or not, but Muhammad did not point a weapon to convert a person to Islam. He fought those who tried hard to prevent him from spreading Allah's message.

His first years of prophethood were peaceful. He started talking about the new religion to the people around him. And then, Allah asked him to talk to other people about Islam. Many rejected him and were hostile to him. If the message of Allah was not important, He would have told the Prophet to forget about Islam and let the people do as what they like.

When the obstacles were too strong preventing the Prophet from spreading Allah's message to the people, Allah allowed him to give the people the choice of either accepting Islam or fighting for their corrupted faith. Of course, most of them worshiped idols alongside Him. And the pure message of Allah is worshiping Him alone associating no other with Him. This was the message from the time Adam and Even landed on Earth. The Angels also worshiped Allah as the only God. Would Allah keep the people follow such corrupted faith? No. Allah would not send another religion unless the previous religions were incomplete or they were distorted. Those who were fought were fighters, they were not civilians. It cannot be compared to the Crusades in which children and women were killed.

You can read more about Qital (jihad) here.

It is the problem with the people who still do not accept Islam as the last message and the last accepted religion from the God. If Allah gave the message and guidance for the people for their benefit, they must follow it. If there is anything you see wrong about Allah's guidance, tell me which of His are hurting the followers of Islam? Islam is a guiding religion which controls people behaviors, not to torture them, but to ensure they live according to what the God ordered them in previous revelations.

As a Muslim, I am very happy. I am not feeling oppressed. I am free to do anything that does not harm me or harm any other person or anything. I do not see freedom as an absolute thing. It should not be absolute. If you still believe that freedom in Islam is imprisoning the people, give me examples. I do not know anything that I am not free to do according to Islam. I want to hear from you.

And do not forget to explain freedom in your opinion or in your religion if you follow any.
