Adapt or disappear: Qur'an

Reader comment on item: A Democratic Islam?

Submitted by steven L (United States), Apr 17, 2008 at 19:58

Democracy and Qur'an are mutually exclusive and the only way out is through reform and adaptation to present times.

Either the clerics adapt or perish. The extremists have decide to fight and bring back the world of today to the time the Qur'an was created.

Time will judge the people of today. But as far as I am concerned, there is no return to the backwardness consistent with the past.
