Reader comment on item: A Democratic Islam?

Submitted by ilyas (South Africa), Jun 7, 2008 at 02:38

My comments hopefully will be understood. In my previous attempts I already mentined that there is not one proper Islamic country in the world today. Although countries are ruled by so called Muslims with Muslim names there actions are within the confines fo Sharia law which is the most humanitarian law in the world today.

People will get have much to say and they might refute this statement but taking all things into consideration the best system for the ailing economies, suufering societies today be it in the West or the East is shariah Law.

According to shariah law interest is forbidden. This Jewish system has spread across the world and has kept many a people or country under debt for years on end with no end in sight. Imagine the impact if this intrest based society dropped interest, secondly the right of the citizens of the country be it muslim or not is equal not as mentioned above for example the right to free water and sanitation, or that the natural resources of the country belongs to each and every citizen and that the profits of such companies that mine the natural resources must be put back into society through Hospitals, scholls and public roads with no tolls.

Thirdly the point that non muslims have to pay a different tax to muslims under shariah law well we all know that a muslims in any country for that matter has to givea percentage by Islamic Law to the poor and needy so it is only fair that the non muslims ina muslim country also pay something towards the fund as well.

Then we go on to death sentence for blasphemy and apostacy well for blasphemy it aint only about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him) that muslims will get angry about if the danish cartoonist did the same thing about any Prophet be it Jesus (Peace be Upon him), David (Peace be Upon him) or any other we would have showed the same outrage and felt very disgusted. Makes sense doesnt it , in a western democracy what is the punishment for treason?? and same goes for Apostasy whihc is a crime against onesself rather. God does not need us we need him and by turning away from him although our punishment in this world might be severe but if the person repents and returns there is nothing stoppping them.

Second class citizens and the worse in muslim countries well my freind What kind of citizen is the Palestinian living in Palestine under occupation like apartheid South Africa continuously being harassed at check points, homes being detroyed, food and fuel being controlled and restricted, just the other day a child of 2 months old was killed by the israelis by not being allowed to pass a check point and get the medical assitance that it needed. So what kind of Democracy is israel where people who have been forcefully removed from tthere homes have no right to ever return and to think that these same people claim to have suffered under Hitler and lost 6 million of there people yet today the muslims are the ones that are payingt he price for German opression. Where is the justice in Western Law or Democracry. So much talk about Zimbabwe what about Israel ...

Well I can go on and on but please people Shariah law does not restrict progress infact it is the best way for humanity to progress. A women wearing Hijab does not affect her intellect, a man growing a beard , the beard does not afffect his intelligence infact it proves hisintelligence because we as humans always copy or imitate a people or persons that we like and in the same way a man with a beard is trying to imitate every great Prophet that came into this world by growing that beard so he is getting rewarded fro trying to imitate the great Prophets (Peace be Upon Them) spiritualy and physically.
