"Reformation" of the Church was possible because of close adherance, observation to and of Biblical scripture (which was previously hidden by the Catholic Church).

Thanks for pointing out yet another polar-opposite regarding the Qur'an and the Bible - the ("later") New Testament instructs separation of Church and state, while the ("later") Median portion of the Qur'an mandates conquest and domination of Islam as rule and authority over populace.

In my opinion Islam will never have a "reformation" based solely on it's scripture.
